Enjoy All the Splendor of our Winter Specials

Winter is a great time to visit Grand Rapids! Bring your cross-country skis or rent a pair from Itasca Trail Sports and choose from 21 distinctive nearby ski trails to explore, ranging from beginner to expert.

Snowshoeing is another spectacular way to experience our surrounding nature areas; we have two pairs of snowshoes available for guest usage, as we only have the two pair please reserve during your reservation. Innkeeper Ron and his faithful trail blazer, Billy the Dog would love to show you some of their favorite trails!

An afternoon dogsledding adventure through the Suomi Hills in the Chippewa National Forest is a truly unique way to experience winter in northern Minnesota. Gliding among the pines and aspens, powered only by the proud pooches of the snow is something our guests never forget. We would gladly set up this adventure for you during your reservation.

Like the great indoors? We have some wonderful performances coming up at the Reif Performing Art Center and we offer special deals on tickets for our guests. You can also visit museums, antique stores and uniquely Minnesota shops around Grand Rapids.

Of course just cuddling up with your honey in one of our beautifully spacious themed suites may just be what you need. Take in a classic film or a crazy comedy from our very large selection of movies or just curl up in your private sitting room and enjoy your alone time. And for the ultimate in relaxation schedule an in room massage, which we would be happy to arrange during your reservation.

And, don't forget our wine and cheese social hour on weekends is topped off with a bountiful 3-course breakfast at 9:00 am the following morning. Weekdays we serve a hearty full breakfast, times to be determined by guest's request.

Cross Country Skiing Package
Starting December 15, 2011 through March 15, 2012 for any suite. We'll supply maps for 21 different ski trails from beginner to expert, most are groomed. We'll also give you a certificate for dinner at the Forest Lake Steakhouse. 

Romance Package
This package is designed to make your wedding, anniversary or "just because" night exceptionally special. Your expansive two room suite comes replete with fresh flowers in a complimentary vase as well as a chilled bottle of sparkling wine (non-alcoholic available by request). As part of your cozy seclusion, breakfast will be served to you "en suite." Choose any suite and add $25.00 to the regular rate.

Honeymoon/Anniversary Package
Our luxuriously appointed Champagne & Roses themed two-room suite with a double-sided fireplace, private whirlpool bath and antique queen bed awaits your arrival on your most special of nights. Your stay begins with a bottle of sparkling wine (non-alcoholic by request), accompanied by personally engraved champagne flutes and a certificate for dinner at the Forest Lake Steakhouse. Your romantic retreat will not be interrupted as your breakfast will be served "en suite".

This fabulous 2-night package is only $285.00 plus tax. You may also choose our Northwood's or Garden Room suite for $280.00 plus tax and the Captain's Quarters is available for $250.00 plus tax.

A 2-week advance notice is necessary for this package to accommodate for the personalization of the flutes or if you wish to make a reservation for this package within 2 weeks we would be happy to ship the flutes to you at a later date.

Whole House Rental
Family reunion, girl's night out, scrap booking weekend or home just isn't big enough for all your guests? Well this special is for you! Reserve all four suites, which includes four 2-room uniquely themed suites with private baths and a full breakfast for only $415.00/weekend night or $380.00 week night plus taxes. There is an additional charge of $20/person over 8 people on weekends and $15/person on weekdays.

Child age restrictions are waived with this special, although we do not have equipment for infants.

Multi-Night Discount
If your reservation is for 3 or more nights in a row you qualify for a 10% discount for the entire stay! Please Note: This offer cannot be combined with the whole house rental special.
